Here are a few examples of what you can expect to find as local produce in Cyprus
Citrus: Cyprus is famous for its citrus fruits, like oranges, grapefruits, lemons, and limes. These citrus fruits are not only delicious but also very juicy, thanks to the abundant sunshine they receive.
Stone Fruits: Apricots, peaches, nectarines, cherries, and figs are all common stone fruits grown in Cyprus. These fruits are typically enjoyed fresh during the summer months.
Melons: Watermelons, honeydew melons, and cantaloupes are all popular summer fruits in Cyprus. These melons are a refreshing way to beat the heat.
Other Fruits: Other fruits native to Cyprus include prickly pears, grapes, and pomegranates. Prickly pears are a cactus fruit with a sweet and tart flavour. Grapes are used to make wine, which is another important product of Cyprus. Pomegranates are a symbol of abundance and fertility in Cyprus.
